I met Mike and Taine through my husband Matt, who works with Mike. Mike and Matt would bond over racecars and shooting things out of Mike's pumpkin canon (boys, amirite), while Taine and I would sit on the porch and watch her horses and talk antiques. They've quickly become some of our best friends in Nashville. It's nice to have people so close, when all of our other friends are from out of state!
Mike and Taine recently celebrated their 10 year wedding anniversary in May, which is a huge accomplishment! Congrats to them!!
The couple first met at a house party while at college at Texas Tech in 2006. Their first date was a Halloween Party, which was perfect for these two, since they don't take themselves too seriously (as you can see from the pictures below - LOL). They were engaged in January of 2008 and moved from Texas to Nashville so Mike could take a job at Nissan North America in February of 2008. They were married in May of 2009, where they danced for the first time as husband and wife to "Grow Old with You" by (you guessed it) Adam Sandler from the Wedding Singer. I told you these two are hilarious!!
Since their wedding, they've recently finished construction on their dream mini-farm in Lewisburg, where they currently have 2 boxers, 1 sassy cat, 1 tiny kitten, 1 draft cross painted horse (who was clearly the star of the shoot), and a sweet rescue donkey who is expecting any day now.
Mike and Taine, it was such a blast capturing your personalities and relationship. I know you two are meant for each other just by the way Taine has a genuine reaction to Mike's constant shenanigans. Here's to 10, 20, 30, infinity more years of love and laughter together. Love you both!
