I met Lara when she came across my profile from my volunteer pictures at Rutherford County PAWS (here's some more cuties!). She wanted some pictures of her and her fiance with their two rescue dogs. After talking with her a little more, I learned that Brandon and her were getting married on Halloween and would love some other engagement style pictures as well. Since they're a unique couple with a Halloween-themed wedding, I suggested Mt. Olivet Historic Cemetery just outside of downtown Nashville and they were SUPER on board with the idea.
Lara and Brandon are having a small, intimate ceremony at Fall Creek Falls with just their two families. "This is the second marriage for both of us, so we just wanted to keep it simple and perfect this time. Just as long as we're back in time to pass out candy for Halloween. We've got a reputation to uphold as the King Size Candy House."
I'm sooo in love with how this session turned out! It's fun, playful, and a little bit mysterious. "I like cemeteries because they're usually quite and peaceful." Lara told me. And after watching a big ol' Tom Turkey wander through the middle of our session, she added, "And not typically filled with turkeys...?"
Lara and Brandon are so in love it's infectious. They laughed and joked and danced and wandered around the cemetery with me for over an hour. After that, we got down to the doggie pictures. The pups were very excited to have their picture taken, and we wrapped up the session with some great pictures of their whole, cute little family.
Congrats, Lara and Brandon! I hope I have the pleasure of capturing your big day as well!
